And now introducing...

...Isaac's new future uncle: Mike. Aunt Sharon and Mike got engaged last week and we are thrilled. Photos of Mike have been requested, so we did a little photo shoot here last night using photo booth. Over 55 pictures later, we got some winners.

We are also pleased to introduce Zoe (seen on the top of the totem pole), Isaac's soon-to-be step cousin. Isaac is pretty lucky to have her in his life.

For the more conventional crowd, here are some photos without stretched heads.

Hanging out.

So it has been a while since I posted anything. I am making up for lost time by posting a lot today. It seems like a nice Sunday activity. Isaac has been getting super smiley and fun lately. We can't get enough of him. The drawback is that he likes to be awake so much he is not napping as well (he is waking up right now from a short nap).

Aleks has been trying to help him to learn to sit up.

Let's take a walk!

Yesterday we went for a walk in a lovely wildlife refuge out in Concord. Somehow we managed to forget Isaac's carrier, so we cruised around the gravel paths in his stroller. He was amused for a while, but after eating we and he decided that the bumps were not so much fun so he got held for a while (better for all of us and the cleanliness of our clothes).

Isaac seems to be on a growth spurt, so the trip could not be completed without a little snack (which was really a BIG snack).

Mirror, mirror on the wall...

Isaac LOVES to look at himself in the mirror. We finally snapped some shots of him enjoying the cute baby in the mirror.

One of his newest favorite things to do: stick out his tongue. Who taught him that?
I think that he was getting a little worn out at this point.

Getting playful...

I guess that spring is supposed to make us all livelier, right? Well that certainly is the case with Isaac. In the last week (since getting his immunizations, really) he has become exceptionally more interactive with us and attentive to his toys. Unfortunately he has also decided to get up twice in the night to eat. I know that I am still lucky it isn't more, but I thought that nightime feedings were supposed to be decreasing, not increasing! So, we am getting more tired these days, but enjoying Isaac! So here is a sampling of the last week and a half:
A short trip to Mt Auburn cemetery to enjoy the blossoms.

Playing with his daddy.

Enjoying his mobile.

Bath time. This has become a more popular activity with Isaac. It was a bit touch and go at first, but he has started to realize that if he gives it a chance it really isn't that bad. Putting the warm, wet washcloth on his chest also helped...

All dressed up for church. I have been busting out his 3-6 month clothes so he can wear more than just jammies all of the time. The clothes are still a bit big, but I figure that is better than too small.
