Happy Holidays!

We had a great Christmas break in Utah and Idaho. It has been a slow adjustment back to real life (and eastern time). Thankfully one piece of this is that Isaac slept in the first few days back. That was really, really nice. Unfortunately he is figuring out east coast time again.

We started off our trip by heading down to Monroe to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma White on the ranch. It was really great. They had just had a big snowstorm, so it was beautiful. Aleks took some great shots, but it takes too long to upload them here, so I have only included a couple.

We also headed down to Zion's and enjoyed some fantastic scenery. Isaac got to try out his Christmas present a little early-a hiking pack. He thankfully seemed to really enjoy it so there is hope for our hiking future.

After a great time in Monroe, we headed back north to my parents and managed to take advantage of affordable babysitting to see the lights at temple square. It was nice, even though it was cold. Unfortunately all of downtown is being ripped up so there was no where to go for hot chocolate to warm up.

The next day we hopped in the car and headed farther north to Idaho to spend Christmas with my sister and her family. The drive there was treacherous with snow. We saw several cars off the side of the road.
Once there, we had a great Christmas. Isaac loved to explore the Christmas tree and the gifts there. It snowed a lot and felt really homey. The day after Christmas, Jill and I went to a gym class that totally destroyed me. I was stiff for almost a week. It was great!

Peter and Isaac were old enough to actually look at each other and sort of interact. I think that they will be trouble in a few years, given the chance.



At my parents, Isaac got to use to the same high chair I used as a kid. Amazing that it is still around and in such great shape. Isaac is a pretty wiggly eater, so he kept wiggling himself into all sorts of awkward positions in this. Thankfully his high chair at home does not allow him too move much.
