Four month check up

So, I am behind on posting and will try to put up some more photos soon. But in the meantime, Isaac had his four month check up today and did great. He is now weighing in at 15lbs 1 oz (50th percentile), 25" long (58th percentile) and 44cm head (90th percentile). His doctor's comment when I mentioned how much we like his large head was: "yea, he's really got a melon there!" He sure does and it is pretty dang cute.

Iron Ike!

We have been working on this post for a long time.

Playing with Daddy

Isaac has really gotten into his play mat. He is easily entertained there for long stretches of time and will smile when I smile at him, but otherwise seems to prefer to be hanging out there with his toys to other activities. The animals on the mat are really getting worked over.

Aleks has been working on help Isaac learn to stand. Sure he is still working on mastering head control (tough with the size of his head), but it is never too early...

Pudgy Boy!

There is something really satisfying about seeing Isaac get so pudgy. He was so scrawny to start off with, but that has certainly changed...

Trip to Utah...continued

Here are some more photos from the trip. We first visited Isaac's maternal great grandparents.

Four generations of men-folk.

Four generations of women-folk.

Isaac was fascinated by this balloon, which conveniently had a ribbon that attached to his leg. He was pretty amazed to see that when he moved his leg the balloon moved...magical.

Later on, Isaac got to meet his paternal great grandparents and other relatives at a BBQ at Aunt Susan's place (thanks for having us!).

Next stop: another family gathering of the Cannons. Grandma made a lot of great food.

With cousin Peter. Peter seemed fascinated with Isaac-at one point he got so brave as to touch Isaac's tongue (Isaac conveniently left it hanging out a lot).

Trip to Utah!

So this is the first post of our trip to Utah. We spent some time at the Gateway Center with Isaac's cousins so that they could play in the fountains. It was pretty fun-the kids sure thought so. Isaac was chilling, until he got hungry. Then we had an awkward feeding session in the magazine section of Barnes and Noble. Isaac must have been able to sense the oddness of the situation because he totally started wailing in the middle of eating. For some reason all the customers in the area seemed to finish what they were reading...
