The wedding

I am finally getting some photos from Mike and Sharon's wedding up. It was a good time.

This first batch are from outside the temple after the ceremony.

Isaac was doing well. He was extremely slobbery, but he usually is.

Peter and Vanessa seemed to hit it off really well.

Afterward we had a nice dinner with Blue Ribbon BBQ-Mmmmm! We are still enjoying some of the leftovers that we froze.

Sharon's very cool friend Janet came in from California for the occasion. We like her a lot and wish that she would move to Boston.

Somehow Sharon and Mike actually caved in and did the cake thing. I never thought that I would see the day.

Peter was having a lot of fun since dinner was next door to the nursery and there were lots of cool new toys.

Zoe and Vanessa.

Lastly a shot of the Forsberg women. It is rare that we are all together.

The non-Isaac part of Ithaca

One of the many pleasant moments on the weekend trip was some time on a walk around the corn fields. I really like rural Ithaca. Aleks packed the camera along and took some nice photos of the local flora (no fauna, except us, in these shots this time). He also managed to take a really cheesy one of us (or our shadows). Laura is contemplating using it for Christmas cards this year.

Trip to Ithaca

We had a nice trip to Ithaca over the weekend. Isaac had a lot of fun with his grandparents. We brought his Jolly Jumper, which is hands down his most favorite toy (thanks Aaron and Harmony!).

He loved looking at the flowers with his grandpa and tried to eat some of them.

Mmmm...rice cereal!

Isaac got introduced to the world of the spoon and solid foods. It is quite the adventure.

He was pretty happy getting into his high chair and was good at smiling at the camera.

Then the fun began...

He is still working on realizing that when food goes in his mouth it can leave his mouth by two ways. He has figured out the way out through the front, but is still working on figuring out that it can go out through his tummy. Hopefully he figures that out before he leaves for college.

Moving and Slobbering

Isaac is starting to wiggle himself all around. We plop him down, he rolls onto his tummy and then starts to shimmy himself backwards. This was a very choice moment over the weekend when he left a slobber trail (the dark spots on the carpet are slobber) so you can see how far he traveled. We like to call him the slobber monster, or more gently slobber meister.

Isaac's first research study

Isaac recently participated in his first research study. It was being conducted at Harvard and was studying how infants process numbers. So he got to wear a cool neoprene hat and look at dots being flashed on a screen with an occasional farm animal to help him refocus on the dots. I think that he had a blast-mostly because he got to watch something that resembled TV (he never gets to do that at home) and they had really cool toys to distract him while they put the hat on and took these pictures. I have never been able to find toys that he likes so much.

Fun at the Park

So, we discovered that Isaac can enjoy the park now. Yesterday we had a family outing to the park that is practically in our back yard. Isaac is really digging the swing. You might notice the nice drool drop that is about to drip. Isaac is really slobbery (he can saturate his shirt in no time)-I want to compare him to a little puppy, but I am not sure that is something that you can do with your kid. He tried out the slide for the first time. No complaints from him there.

Finally we took advantage of the sprayer in the park. This is one of my favorite things about parks here-the water. Isaac was not complaining at this, but also did not seem to quite know what to think of it. Here are some of my favorite shots.

After all that playing it was nap time. Isaac is getting more agile in his sleeping. It's all fun and games until someone's leg gets stuck in the crib.
