Isaac had his two month check-up yesterday. He was really enjoying himself. He got to hang out in his diaper and wiggle around on the table looking at lots of new things. It was pretty fun to watch him so happy there. Then he got his vaccinations and that changed rapidly. The doctor had me go in the next room to nurse him afterward so he would be more relaxed and calm-worked like a charm! Unfortunately, he was a bit fussier the rest of the day.
Here are his stats:
weight: 10 lbs 10 ozs (25th percentile-up from the 10th percentile!)
height: 22.5" (50th percentile)
head: 41.5cm (90th percentile)
His Grandma Forsberg is already calling him a fathead. Miraculously he is still managing to hold that big head up from time to time.

Trip to Ithaca
We traveled to Ithaca (Aleks' home town) for Isaac's baby blessing. Isaac met some of his aunts and an uncle, as well as his cousin Jack. He also got to meet his Grandpa Bill and Grandma Kay. We had a great time. (To view the slideshow, you might need to click on "Full Screen". There are 16 photos in the show).
More fun times in the living room
Isaac is growing and doing well. He is actually getting a chubby belly and almost has a double chin. Not bad for a baby that started off at 6.5 lbs. In keeping with our theme of photos taken in the living room, here are some more...
Sometimes it is a bit hard to get him in the baby carrier just right when he is crying and making his body stiff as a board.
Who says that men can't multitask?

Ahhh...sleep...
So this morning Isaac had gained over a half a pound since last Friday, according to our scale. That made me feel a lot better about how much he has been wanting to eat. He finally weighs almost as much as Aleks did when he was born. Yikes!
Hurrah for the baby carrier!

Aunt Sharon Visits
This is Isaac's first passport photo. Do you think that he will look like this when he is five?
We love this face that he gives when waking up.
Happy family.

The first bottle...
Isaac tried out his first bottle on Sunday and it was a hit. It took a few tries, but once Aleks stopped cuddling him and had him facing him, he really went for it. A friend said that maybe he liked it because it was like looking in a mirror while he ate. It was a totally liberating moment.
He usually does not like getting into his car seat that much, but occasionally he has a good moment.
He is pretty cute when he cries...not that we aim to have him cry a lot, but it happens...
